Last year into this year, Hip Hop culture has really taken over K-pop. According to Arirang survey that 188 countries took part in these are the TOP 5 RAP IDOLS. If you disagree your not the only one. So, I added my two cents in just like everyone else did in the comment section as soon as I did, one person was like "this" rapper came out first, Rap Monster is the sh*t...you have no clue who he is, you are sooo bias, I don't care about your opinion." Everyone is entitled to their opinion and the fact is the video has already surveyed who is the best, I just don't agree and I should be entitled to that. Of course, you seeing people bashing one another in comment section, not being open-minded or considerate....it really frustrating but when it happens to you you either deal with it calmly or aggressively (I would love some constructive criticism and some knowledge please). The problem was simply the fact that I switch Zico to be number 1 and Rap Monster to be 5th, than later 3rd place. I was like Zico is not first, like why? Is it because he's a little controversial, but if Zico wasn't around, Rap Monster would be rightly so be number one in my eyes. It was like "Why do you care so much about my comment ( like I get behind me Satan)?" But I felt Zico open the doors for Rap Monster. When did more digging there wasn't much I could find about Rap Monster that I didn't already know unlike Zico long list of the good, bad, and ugly by Korean standards. Actually, BTS performed at KCON but on a Sunday, so I missed them. On that note so many rookie groups were forming in 2013-14. BTS wasn't really in my peripheral vision because of the many mass promotions going on. It's hard not be a little fickle with K-pop artists specifically idol groups because you never know what will happen to a group after debut, like recently with EXO, GG, and Speed's lack of promotions. On top of that, a lot of artists weren't receiving payment like Block B. But my opinion should not sway or compel anyone. Before I get started, Rap Monster, Zico, and Min ho actually knew each other from back in the day when they were straight up underground rappers. Zico debuted first, Minho actually did debut but the group disbanded then he was suppose to be in Block B but YG picked him up and we all know what happen after that. And Rap Monster later debuted. Lastly, for you guys who clearly don't understand the difference between a Mixtape vs an Album here is a definitions but to further define a Mixtape, which is usually free, sort like a demo but for gaining street cred and some artist will use popular beats or mixes. Before and or during a rap-artist career they'll use mixtapes to promote themselves or an upcoming album for example R&B artist Tinashe or Rap artist Nicki Minaj. Now here the TOP 5.
