Hey Subbies,

I have been inspired to write the post because so many people have raved about these brands over the years and I have included them almost yearly in my Korean Skincare Must Haves. I was also watching Eunice Unnie on YouTube with Ahn-nim the director of the Korean Institute of Dermatology and she went straight away to recommend a product from the brands I will be listing below. I've heard about these products since probably the mid-2010s via Wishtrend's YouTube channel a lot of brands exclusively sold at the time. The channel was geared to Western audiences and had a very HSN or QVC style of selling the brands. They are known mostly for selling Klairs and I'M FROM bundles but they now carry brands like ELMT, COSRX, ROVECTIN, and so on. Also, my favorite Korean-based and Western-based skincare enthusiasts have bi-annual bundles that you can buy at a discount. So this post going to act as a main point reference because you probably seen a product from one of these brands but didn't know the brand had other cult favorites. I personally bought dear Klairs but it was usually as a gift for others.

What did I get in Tokyo, Japan?

Hey Subbies,

The log awaited post a year in the making. But if you're following me on YT or Instagram at least then you can't keep up or don't care too but I've posted my wears from my trip last year plus I find it a bit easier to do so on IG. After Maria Kondo my room I had remembered where I put everything because everything is so neat now. At the end of last month, I upload a skincare haul from my trip so if I haven't seen it yet here it is.

I did this video early in the morning and my brain was not all there lol. Also, the brand I was trying to remember is Shiseido which is under the house brand Senka. I forgot to add the diamond lashes I brought from Donki so I added them in this post.

Tip: A lot of stores don't allow you to leave one floor to another. It's not like here in the states where you shop from floor to floor. You pay on each floor you decide to pick up an item from or authorities will be called.

A lot of Japanese brands have their own Insta so you check for each season what will be coming out especially around Tokyo Fashion week. You also head up a bookstore if you live in a big city like LA or NY to get your hands on Japanese magazines (that how found my style before I knew about the websites) from around the world. Start with looking at Shibuya109 and Laforet site/stores to find brands/styles you like. I have a handful of brands I like.

Life Update + Tokyo Trip

Hey Subbies,

As you can read from the title this is a little life update. Since I had some time off I can finally update you guys. Recently, I was able to find a job in my perspective field finally. However, I can't leave my old job because I have better benefits with my first job and other things tied to that job that my new job does not have on top of the pay is less than my first job however, I have more hours and opportunity to get over time. I pretty much have my hands-tied with my new job since it is thru the week and I had to cut my hours at my other job just enough to keep my benefits. In addition, I'm learning a new programs which is not the industry standard Adobe Suite and also learning how to do prints on different manufacturing materials. I'm pretty beat once I come home from work. This job is very much like the internship I had during my final semester of University so its very familiar yet it is a bit of a learning curve and immersive with a lot distractions from other coworkers in the office I have to really get use to. I bought some Starbucks coffee grounds to make my own coffee in the morning and thankfully, there is one across the street from my new job too and just received a Starbucks card for Christmas. However, I don't know about y'all but caffeine is not really helping sadly though. Anyways, I added some of the Tokyo Vlogs down below if anyone is interested in my trip also add a voice over so I hope you guys enjoy it. I need to still upload the last couple of videos to YT so if you want to subscribe you can. Lastly, I going to be doing my favorite/most played Kpop songs of 2018 so look out for that probably by Christmas or New Years.
