Gaint But Amazing

This art exhibition was amazing and if your tired of seeing the same thing being overly exploited over and over again here in the US of Japanese culture, then this will not disappoint. You will come to appreciate the media that come from Japan American or any other minority interpretation of American pop culture from very creative minds of the Giant Robot Family. The Optimus Prime who transformed this amazing branded name is Eric Nakamura, Publisher / Editor of Giant Robots.
Eric graduated from UCLA with a degree in East Asian Studies. He got his start in magazine making through a stint at Larry Flynt Publications. In addition to publishing issues of GR, Nakamura has made an independent movie called Sunsets, shot photos for punk rock bands, and designed t-shirts. Eric can be found at Giant Robot Stores in West LA. His writings are now found daily at www.giantrobot.com

If, your up for the challenge go check out the exhibition, but if your a little lazy I went to the exhibition for you and had a great time walking around the museum  and wondering how long it's been since I've last visited it lol. They had food, drinks and beers, I was in heaven. Finally, I got to try my first Japanese beer, KIRIN. . .let me tell you I'm not to fond of beer unless it's fruity or sweet but it's like drinking soda if wondering because you burp a lot. They also had live band and DJ play through ou the night. Oh yeah, LT Plaza was open so walked around and bought somethings I shouldn't have, never drink then shop (hint: Maneki Neko shop). I also that the macaroon place I told you about is in the Little Tokyo haul; it's called Lette actually moved into the plaza now (YAY!) There also pizza place I forgot to mention in the haul that's call Mr. Pizza. . .best service and food service is hot to order. I had tried their Hawaiian pizza and taste better then the one's I've tasted (cough cough. . .I think they don't use canned pineapple).

Inglot Review

Finally, get to talk about this brand. Inglot was on my list to try new things and since I was in Las Veges, I wanted to go and get my hands on some of their cosmetics. Inglot is of course compared to MAC but I have never tried a MAC product. I just found out MAC is doing animal testing now regardless, if it's not aloud in the US the company as a whole is doing it on top of being a corporation and of course there going to be look at testing and considering the results in it's for next product(s) .That is what most companies in cosmetics do.

DIASO is Finally in the LA!

You don't know how happy I am to find out that Los Angeles finally gets not just one but two DIASO chain stores also known as the 100 yen store($1.50 store). This store is Daebak. . .Sugoi(cool)! I've been waiting since I found out about this store from vloggers and bloggers who live up North and in Asia. There one in Canada and Sacramento where most of my family lives but there has been a lot deaths in the family so I wasn't focus trying to do shopping spree if you catch drift. My friends always says "California is so lucky, they get everything". . .now I have agree with them and everyone comes her from around world and even out state so, California get influx of different imports let's not leave out New York and Texas. It plain and simple we huge Asian population just check the national census.

  • 1360 West Artesia Boulevard, Gardena, CA

  •  3842 West Sepulveda Boulevard  Torrance, CA 90505

I'm really glad MARUKAI let them to take over the space, but Google has not updated address if you’re trying to go there yourself. Anyways, when I went in my brain went crazy. . .The store was pink all over and is like stepping into a cute Japanese store in Japan. When you walk in guys there a video playing talking about the store history and you  also watch it on the Diaso International Site. And for all you gyaru $4 pack of lashes and $l.50 bottom lashes. They had gems stickers to bedazzled your phone, cute stationary and had jelly watches in all kind of colors and Japanese snacks & treats. I also like fact that they put baskets in middle of the store so didn't have run back up to entrance to get a one. And if don't live near the stores you can order online on the DIASO e-shop.

Daily Breeze also wrote an article on the openings.

Here what I bought. . .

I bought a cleansing foam(middle) it kind of reminded me of To-nya Isofurabon cream and  didn't leave my face really dry like other cleanser. I also bought the infamous carbon mask which I think is similar to Shieldo's carbon mask that use to see on Yesstyle .

Now this isn't from DIASO but I wanted share this with you guys, my friend who is from Hong Kong and goes to school here. I asked her to bring back something from SASA, she was surprised that I knew about the store. She  got me this lip gloss it smell really good and not sticky.
Thank you Crystal.

And then my mom bought these shoes from AVON and they are very comfy and I don't have heel like these.

Wig (Per-i-wig)

-An artificial covering of hair for all or most of the head, of either synthetic or natural hair, worn to be stylish or more attractive.

The Ancient Egyptians wore wigs made either from human hair, sheep's wool or vegetable fibers, depending upon their social status to shield their hairless heads from the sun. Other ancient cultures, including the, Assyrians, Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, Europeans, East Asians and the Western world also used wigs as an everyday fashion. Today wigs are a head of hair made from horsehair, human hair, wool, feathers, yak hair, buffalo hair, or synthetic material and kanekalon (best japanese fiber). Types of  wigs are lace wigs, non-lace wigs,  human hair wigs, synthetic wigs(last about 3-6 months, fairly cheap). Also there are permanent hair solutions like weaves (sew-in/bonding/fusion), and braids and there is non-permanents ones like clip-ins, banana comb, hair pieces and drawstring attachment.

Take Care of your hair tips:

1. Always use a comb (wide tooth is preferred) to style your hair and if you bought wig essence use  to help detangle with the comb .
2. Use hair cap to protect your hair from wig uses.
3. Wash your hair cold water(preferred) or luke warm and you can use dry-shampoo spray sparingly and let dry naturally. If your using human hair or proceed hair use protein shampoo (pantene).
4. To much use of Alcohol-base hair products can actually deteriorate the wig fibers especially synthetic wigs.
5. Use your wigs holder/head (after washing), or use the original packaging it came in which usually can be closed with snap-back button to protect and store your hair.

Cheap Wigs FAQ

If your going to buying a cheap wig from a seller online  [i.e. Amazon/ Ebay] just one thing to remember "You get what you pay for." Number two, styling cheap wigs  you might as well have bought a more expensive wig no matter how silky the cheap wig is and the awesome fast shipping. Three, cheap wigs are great for one style if haven't got the memo, "As shown in the picture" but by all means you can always buy more wefts to sew-in to make it fuller. On a personal note, I have bought cheap wigs for the sole purpose to wear it as is, which is most likely down or in a braid for a cosplay so, telling the seller your not happy/ unsatisfied with it defeats the purpose that it was made to be cheap.
