The Brown Eyed Girls (Hangul: 브라운 아이드 걸스, Japanese: ラウン・アイド・ガールズ), often
abbreviated as B.E.G., BG or브아걸 (beu-ah-geol) is a South Korean pop
girl group managed by Nega Network. The group consists of four members: JeA, Miryo,
Narsha, and Ga-In.
After 3 years of training, Brown Eyed girls debuted in 2006 as
an R&B/ballad vocal group with "Come Closer (다가와서)". They rose to popularity in 2008 with
"L.O.V.E" and their funky single "How Come." They didn't
become popular the worlds over till the release of their hit electro pop song Abracadabra and the now infamous second coming of the "erogant dance" that put them on the fast track to success
in the K-pop industry.
Jea the leader was responsible for putting them together and
was actively searching for members by first picking the great female rapper Miryo, who also haved worked with Gil
Seong-joon from Leessang in the pass. Jea choose Narsha after remembering her
very talented singing audition during their school days. Lastly, Ga-in was
selected by the three members after a very heart breaking elimination from
"Battle Shin Hwa". But BEG also had another member but she left to pursue
other opportunities from K-pop had to offer her. One fun fact is that the group was
called "Crescendo" before officially debuting as "Brown Eyed
Girls." After several years of small promotions they finally debuted as a
"faceless group" with the released of their debut album Your Story in March 2, 2006, with the ballad track, "Come
Closer" as their single which the whole faceless scheme did not help them
at all commercially. The album was later re-released to included "Hold TheLine" (which samples "Push The Button" by British girl band
Sugababes and "Technologic" by Daft Punk) boosting their popularity. BEG went on a short hiatus, they released their first digital single
entitled "I Am a Summer" (내가 여름이다), which included an LP, and when they
return to released their successful commercial second studio album Leave Ms. Kim (떠나라 미스김),
which included their R&B title track "You Got Me Fooled" (너에게 속았다).
And following that they collaborated on their single’s "Oasis" (오아시스)
featuring Lee Jae Hoon and "It's Mine" (내꺼야) with fellow group
SeeYa.
In January 2008, Brown Eyed Girls came back with their first
mini-album "With "L.O.V.E" composed by Saint-Binary and Min-Soo Lee.
Their single "L.O.V.E", was a departure from the B.E.G. sound that
people had come to know but it became an instant success and Brown Eyed Girls
scored their first No. 1 song and also one of the top hit songs in the first
half of 2008. They released conventional CD format with song the With Love , their second digital album
and From there they reached commercial success once again. In September, they
released their second mini-album "My Style" which included their titled
song No. 1 hit "How Come" a retro-style dance song that had become a
popular trend.

disc full-length album Sound G which
included their unveiled track “Candy Man”
and the heavily promoted single “Abracadabra” composed by Ji-nu and Min-Soo
Lee. The song was repackaged in the album titled Signs, which included new songs “Signs” and “Drunk on Sleep” and a
remixed version of “Abracadabra.” The group signed with Sony Japan soon after

song) in Inkigayo. In December, JeA worked on her ballad single 'Because You
Sting' featuring G.O. of MBLAQ.
On January 7, 2011 they released a Japanese Music Video version
for “Signs” which focused mainly on the choreography rather than the Korean
storyline. When the Great Tohoku Earthquake disaster occurred they came to
support Japan with a concert in Shibuya, Tokyo in September and also unveiled
one of their songs from their fourth upcoming album An Inconvenient Truth, which was composed by JeA and KZ.
They were
also set their official comeback release that month with their single "HotShot", followed by their fourth full length powerhouse album and music
video "Sixth Sense" on September 23.The album was very successful
before their live performances and hit
all the charts at once and successful digital sales, they went ahead and repackaged the album.
BEG started focusing on their solo careers. With a rocky
start with Miryo's promotional title track and her other two songs from herself

Jae, Narsha, and Gain went into the TV entertainment for a little bit. Gain

together under the name M&N with titled track "Tonight (오늘밤)"
with an English version. Later, that year released a full hip hop sound album.
At the end of January 2014, Gain was revealed to be making a
comeback with her 3rd mini album Truth or Dare on February 6, releasing a
teaser picture along with the news. On January 22 she released a
"mysterious and sexy" teaser still-cut from her "simple yet
melodious" pre-release track 'Fxxk U' featuring Bumkey. The song was written
by Kim Eana and composed Lee Minsoo who also worked on her previous track Bloom; "Truth or Dare" deals with the topic of rumors and
