Hey Subbies,

My sleep pattern is still a mess but I got this major idea pop up into head to do a post since it's 2020. I recently finished doing an online free course to learn Korean for my trip which is still up in the air and currently going over the basics which is another free course. I was thinking of doing this post for my trip like I did for Japan because when I went to Japan it was hard to find certain items especially if you step into Doki which is Walmart on steroids but everyone is nicely dressed. Anyways, I want to put together a list of top K-beauty cosmetics that have been on the list over and over again.

Princess Nudy Violet Lens Review [Throwback]

Hey Subbies,

So recently I've been going through my Google Drive and found images that used for a Circle Lens Review post I had done years ago that I thought I had lost so I deleted the post. For some reason, the images were placed into my drive. I remember it taking the images about a month before doing a review on them. Google I think at that time wasn't routinely backing up my photos so I dreaded the thought of dropping my phone and or someone stealing it. Anyways, the images disappeared from that post and I remembered being so frustrated now that I think about it. These past months I have been too lazy to wear my lens so how about a throwback review I guess.  I also like the add that these lenses were more comfortable than the Princess Nudy Gray for what I remembered when I wore them.

My Favorite K-dramas You Should Watch Right Now!

Hey Subbies,

How is everyone? What a crazy time to be alive but I hope everyone is staying safe. Literally, my whole sleep pattern has been messed up with this pandemic on top of my mom and I caught the flu last month for a week. I did get tested which came back negative for you know what because censorship is at an all-time high. I feel like I can't even speak of it. I feel like a hypochondriac especially when I think of my mother. I've seen a lot of studies about the virus because your gurl love to know everything about everything it's already bad enough that I have anemia.

Anyways, Today let's talk K-darams, even though I haven't been watching that many K-drama even the popular ones. I noticed in 2016 had a good year of K-dramas. And yes, I tried to watch Hotel De Luna and I actually wasn't interested after trying to get thru 30 minutes of it, I'll try again because it like that with Ozarks I guess slow opens aren't my thing.  However, I've been more into Webtoon lately since I've been reading the more popular ones during break time and I think I know why.

W or World of W, I love this show so hard when Webtoons were getting a lot of hype and it's a good introduction.  Literally real-life A-ha - Take on Me. The production company also did Memories of the Alhambra on Netflix Original, I had my mom watched it so I guess it was okay so you can add that to your list too. However, this show is about "A surgical resident is pulled into the webtoon world of W, which was created by her father, and becomes entangled in a murder mystery." It has a lot of Old Hollywood tropes like Femme Fatale yet today it be would call Miss Independent and love when dramas breaking the mold.

This next drama took me a while to get to but I love it. My Love from the Star follows "An alien who has been stranded on Earth for more than 400 years is almost able to return home, but finds himself developing feelings for a famous actress." I didn't realize that Ji-Hyun had done another mythical drama after this banger so that's on my list next too.

I really think this drama is up there with My Love from the Stars. It shows a very good balanced love relationship and a lot of cliffhangers. Angel’s Last Mission: Love is a 2019 South Korean television series starring Shin Hye-sun, Kim Myung-soo, Lee Dong-gun, Kim Bo-mi, Do Ji-won, and Kim In Kwon. "Troublemaker angel named Dan must find love for icy ballerina Yeonseo for him to return to his heavenly realm but falls in love with her instead."

I could not for the life of me remember the title but I found it. Rich Man, omg love this drama, and is another good one about relationships and career. It the drama that got me back into my on-again-off-again time with k-dramas. Rich Man is a 2018 television series starring Kim Jun-myeon, Ha Yeon-soo, Oh Chang-suk, and Kim Ye-won. It is a remake of the 2012 Japanese television series Rich Man, Poor Woman. Also, Suho plays the lead, like come on guys why wasn't this on everyone's radar and the acting is really good. Another drama aired after this ended Where the Star's Land and I was like this looks similar but it's about an Airport Couple.

While I was watching W, I watched this show called Let's Fight Ghost or Hey Ghost, Let's Fight. I think I'm secretly a fan of Kim So-Hyun and some of the roles she chooses even though she played so many school girls during most of her career. You'll know what I'm talking about when I get to the next drama I just recently watched. This show is about "Park Bong-pal uses his ability to see ghosts to work as an exorcist, but winds up accepting wandering spirit Kim Hyun-Ji as a roommate and ghost-fighting partner."

Love Alarm, I just finished watching the first season of the show and I can't wait for the next season. When I watched this show I was thinking about Cheese in the Trap another webtoon adaption to K-drama and prefer this drama. The show is about "A world in which an app alerts people if someone in the vicinity likes them, Kim Jojo experiences young love while coping with personal adversities." This show is based on a webtoon that you can find on Daum called "Ring if you like" and the casting for this show is really good.

Since I bought up Cheese in the Trap, I might as well also include it here too since both are getting second seasons this year. I was going to read the webtoon but I think I was too busy haven't even gotten around to doing it so I watched the drama instead. I really like character dynamics in this show though but I found the main lead to be too over-the-top but I've seen too many dramas where the male lead is creepy so I should be used to it already. This drama follows "A college student balances her studies and a part-time job with a relationship with an insecure man who manipulates others."

Fated to love You or You are my Destiny is another drama that when it was announced I was so excited to see it because I had watched the Taiwanese adaptation which was really hilarious yet really sad and they managed to do it so love both. I heard they are making another remake for Chinese audiences and people are mad that the leads aren't hot. The story to me is like the "Ugly duckling" story, it's pretty hard to do that with someone who is already seen as globally beautiful. It is also getting or aired the Japanese version under the name "Unmei Kara Hajimaru Ko" so go ahead and check that one out.

This part of my list will feature a lot of cunning shows but let me be honest I think that's the type of show I actually like the most. Okay, Oh my Ghost because it compared a lot to the next drama I will be introducing. The story follows "Timid Na Bong Sun gets possessed by the ghost of a confident young woman who seeks to solve her unfinished business by hooking up with Bong Sun's boss, famous chef Kang Sun Woo." You see I have a thing for ghost and murder mystery or a slice of life drama and I thought HDL would be right up my alley too. I'm going to talk about three different dramas but all of them have my favorite actress/model Lee Min-Jung.

The other reason why I watched this drama was because of legendary Rain (Bi) was making a comeback into acting. Come back Mister is a 2016 South Korean television series starring, based on the Japanese novel published in 2002, Mr. Tsubakiyama's Seven Days by Jirō Asada. Kim Young-soo (Kim In-Kwon) is a section chief in the women's apparel section at Sunjin's department store. He and his wife Shin Da-Hye (Lee Min-jung) do not get along because his long work hours and constant overtime distract him from home.

A lot of people passed on this one but I was like sign me up. It's a slice of life that would lead me to watch another similar K-drama in the future. Cunning Single Lady a 2014 South Korean romantic comedy television series starring Lee Min-jung who plays Ae-ra who is broke and seeking revenge after learning that her ex-husband Jung-Woo, whose business struggled during their marriage, has now made a fortune the divorced couple who rekindles their romance."

A lot of body-swapping drama is maybe my thing too. Big, "is a 2012 South Korean television series starring Gong Yoo and Lee Min-jung. A smart-mouthed transfer student wakes up from a coma in the body of his teacher's fiancé." The story is good and caught me off guard but then Yoo did Goblin and I was okay I'm going to step back from watching anything. But I did watch Train to Busan.

Oh My Venus, I literally forgot that had I watched this but Shin Mina was another fav. so why am I surprised? The premise of this show is "When her boyfriend of fifteen years breaks up with her for gaining weight, Kang Joo-Eun gets help from Kim Young-Ho, an incredibly perfect personal trainer, to get in shape and turn her life around." I really had mixed feeling about this show before I had watched it but I fell in love with it by the first episode.

Let me know which one you all have watched or tell which one guys are going to watch next.

One drama but it's Japanese and it really that I also want to recommend called Atelier has really good writing.
