Loveinjapanese.net Review

Hey Guys,

I received an email from a guy named Tony, who owns a website called  Loveinjapanese.net because my post were somewhat relevant to their website. So they asked if I could do honest review of their website for them.

Website

"Our site provides useful resources to learn Japanese love culture."

About

Thank you for visiting the site. My name is Tony and I run the Love in Japanese blog.Having lived in Japan for 8 years, I have always wondered how people managed to understand Japanese love culture. Through the experience of living in Japan and talking to many of my Japanese friends, I came to realize that Japanese have a very unique love culture compare to western or even some other Asian countries. If you are interested in dating a Japanese boy/girl, the need of understanding Japanese love culture is not only inevitable but crucial. The aim of loveinjapanese.net is to provide a platform where we can explore Japanese love culture topics.I hope you enjoy the site and if you have comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would love to hear your feedback. If you are a blogger and would like to contribute to our blog, we welcome you to contact me as well.- See more at: http://loveinjapanese.net/about-us/#sthash.N7ck6t0F.dpuf

    First Impressions

When I first accessed the site I was kind of disappointed for one, it had a blog type template and the other is because it reminded me of those sites I would go to look up words in Japanese and it would have on side ads for sites for "Do you want date a Japanese person?" or Books ads about "How to find a Japanese women." It feels like those dating sites which are overly marketed these days. Vibes of  the website has those type of spam-adds characteristics. I was hoping it would be more like HuffingtonPostHoroscopes or AllWomenStalk.com or AskMen.com (format wise) which is another site that I somewhat like but from a men or women perspectives.

Navigation

Because the site reminded me of blog template it's kind of confused me on where to go next since I'm use to navigating most sites horizontally (top-down).

Content

The content posts is a good read and more geared towards men than women in finding a Japanese mate because most of the literature that is referenced is geared towards men.

Attractors

It will attract people(mostly men) looking to date, who want tips, and want to learn about a new culture.

Findability

This is my first time to a site like this and since I'm not looking for any mate in particular but it might be great for others who want to experience a date with someone new or outside their race and are looking for tips and culture expectancy.

User Satisfaction

I give this site a 3 out 5  because site is somewhat new and I think there are some key things that could make this site even better:

1. Site design and logo (needs to be more eye catching)
2. Navigation ( Relative post needs to be (re)moved. I think the references material should be moved and be on every page. Why the two search boxes(?).

Black Legacy? [Black History Month]

Hey Guys,

[A years back, right after this post I wrote a paper for one of my last English class in College. I was given two books to read, which helped me write this final paper. My Professor thought I was too "gun-ho" for this topic that yours truly choose because it cover a lot information that could essential be turned into a grad. paper essentially (who would of thought) and  just looking this information up at the time was something that would raise a few brows (all evidence was already televised and documented). It more informational supported, so enjoy.

Another rant but a very serious one. I was watching a lot on what Japan has been doing about the low birth rates and the aging class of Japanese seniors. I was watching this video called "Problems facing Japan - Parasite Singles."  because a similar thing is happening her in the US where more and more Young Adults are deciding to stay home, and go out to work, and go to school and both cultures are having marriages and leaving the nest in their early to mid 30's. Then I started reading the comments to see what others think about this issue and come to this comment: "Black people could learn from them. I mean seriously!" I kind of offended but she sounded kind of condescending to me so asked "Why they felt that way about Black people?"

Their answer:
"It is as simple as this. Asian, Latinos and even Arabian women do not go around making kids. They have more mature cultures, especially ASIANS. Look at the western culture. A lazy black woman who makes kid after kid. White women sleep around a lot but they don't seem to get pregnant at will, hmmm? And here's the funny thing about it. In the western culture if some one is a virgin or is unmarried they get a shitty reputation."

Then the person goes on to say. . .

"Look at the magazines that promote or give black people publicity. It is all about a big ass chick talking in a long winded paragraph about the dirty sex she has with some "mister cool" hip hop dude. ALSO black men ALWAYS imply that women of ALL RACES are important ONLY if they are models and sleep around!"

Of course, Asians are mature about sex they have art from centuries ago, and Shinto shrines based on phallic artifacts, and images and in some festivals. Sexuality seen today in anime and manga, It's simply saturated in the Japanese market and the culture and most of Asia and India. But in the West, people rather use exploitation or spread the word/beliefs about God, the Bible, etc., and most of Latin Americans as well as most Muslim Arab's Quran or Buddhist beliefs but there are lot more Atheist today than there were before.  Now I'm thinking is this how people from around  the world even here in Americas see or think of African/ Black Americans? If this is really the case, what people see in magazines and television summarize a whole race(?)  Most Black women are well endow with curves but also a brain, but these magazine she/he is describing sounds like those rumor mills we see in local grocery stores and hear on the radio. On one note, over the past 20 years women were either widows, the partners left them, and/or had the baby out wedlock (today more celebs are having kids like this i.e. Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney, Jessica Simspon, and Jennifer Garner...).  But according to census Black women who have children being born out of wedlock is lowest ever seen [article]; more facts and counter argument [Video]. And more black women or should I say high school students are deciding not to marry but are having more children than black women that are married but the birthrate are at their lowest seen yet. I never let magazine or other media consume me when it comes to gossip and never judge people unless it came down to some hard facts and evidence or when it came to murder.

[Kanamara Matsuri]

 [Temple Garbhagriha: Lingam]

Japanese don't have the best welfare policy compared to the US. Japanese are just now talking about their welfare for low income families, so of course their not going to have children because their is barely an the option to do so with the economy like it is and the work load plus hours. But the medical system is very well off because their busy trying make sure the growing senior population are well taken care of. If the women want to decide to have an abortion or take precautions they can, unlike here in the States where were we barely can afford it and/or barely gaining access to it, but very slowly.

So I replied with this:

"Japan has a now booming sex industry Vice Japan, here on YouTube talks about it. But that's in every culture not just in black culture. Sex sales. Go take a media, poli sci, and sociology class then we can talk. People look at one black person doing something out of the norm, then they want group the rest as being a negative group in society.  On the news they out right say this Black person mostly likely male did this,  when someone white or Asian you are never directly told what race they are.The magazine/media industry in general target an audience that only representing  percentage of a group or population. Most media in America target White males college grads making 40-75K." . . .(media thinks this is the majority of the country).

"Your only talking about one type of magazine there are others out there Essences, Ebony, and Jet. If you go to the liquor store you'll find most likely Hispanic women promoting  an alcohol beverage in freak'n bikinis. At the Asian own beauty supplies you'll find black women advertising hair products.  In Asian don't really have deal with others but themselves (also as long what their creating or producing a successful/popular) unlike in America you have all kinds of people with all kind preferences, ideologies, and how they want to portray themselves in society or live. Japanese are faced with every changing economy and Blacks are faced with White America's  expectation of who should be considered successful, these are two different cultures. The GI Blacks, very few black men benefited, during WWI & II weren't able to buy houses, they were literally excluded from the GI bill and discriminated upon, a movie based off this is the "Raisin in the Sun." Based on the 2010-12 census Asian make more than Whites, Blacks, and Hispanic (Asians work ethic is hard working). I keep hearing that when immigrants (my Asian friend calls them FOBs- fresh off the boat) come to American specifically Asians are told "Not trust African Americans"[This what I hear all the time from people who become nationalized]. Now, how sad is that."

"I don't know where your getting that assumption. More black women on birth control than ever before. Most black women hit puberty younger than most other races (most of suffer from endometriosis); Blacks females usually around age 9-12, Latinos 10-12, Whites and Asian 12-16. When I was in high school a very diverse school at that I mainly saw my Hispanic friends getting pregnant in senior year (my friend "jessy" she is a Latina, she got pregnant senior year by this football player, she had little girl). Most of my black friends didn't get pregnant till college (one of best friends, she graduate went to college meet this amazing guy, now they have a little girl there gonna get married soon). Most of my black friends are working going to school (most of my friends out traveling, working, doing big things). You watch to much talk show TV likes "Who's your baby daddy?"and last time I check there are White and Hispanic women on there as well, but if you think that represent all black people you are highly mistaken. Here in America[never thought I would say that] blacks had to continuously fight racism, and discrimination, poverty and getting good education ( most kids had to grow up with 30 year old text books, donated 1998XP desktop computers. Some didn't even get educated in contraceptives and how to protect themselves from STD or HIV because there was no funding for the states school and medical care in low income areas. You know how much black people make 20-50k a year vs Asians 60-100K here in the states."

 Other Arguments:
A surface look at the welfare system, and the proportion of blacks vs. white who benefit from it... When Welfare was invented it was WHITE ONLY for about 40 YEARS, which means that WHITES MADE UP 100% of welfare recipients for about 40 Years.1935 Welfare Act excluded woman of color, NOT to mention that 240 Million Acres of Land was GIVEN (meaning FREE) to White People, Home-Sted Act. Also 1934 -1962 - Federal Housing administration home Loan program, Veterans Administration Home Loan program, 120 billion housing equity. 40% of white people received housing under these Administrations. WHITE WELFARE is 50 Times More then BLACK WELFARE..

"...Knowledge is readily available to everyone, especially now with the internet. There is a plethora of information to absorb in the world, if people choose to ignore it that's their own stupidity," is what he said. My argument was that they're given less opportunities than other people and they simply don't know better because that's how their parents were raised, and in turn raised them. Plus, there's always the influence of peer pressure, which I would assume is much more severe in ghetto communities than other ones."

"Africans evolved in a tropical area in which it was easy to survive, so they did not need to work so hard as the other races. We Asians evolved in arctic areas in which food is scarce and the quite cold weather presents challenges that made us need to work quite hard to have food and comfortable shelter. There is great individual difference, but the general trend is for Africans to be lazier than us Asians."

"BLACK PEOPLE ARE LAZY-Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Black people have no incentive to work because we don't own shit. We figure we are working to make someone else rich, and we are always going to get paid just enough to keep the company profitable. It's why so many black folks work for the post office. We figure if we are going to work, it might as well be for a someone we pay taxes to. At least we can say we own some of the federal government, and we know that if it's not profitable they won't fire our asses."

"So sorry, but it's true. I've worked with dozens of female, African American admin workers. A typical daily routine:

1) Arrive at work on time
2) Go to the restroom to perfect makeup and hair
3) Go to the building's carry out for breakfast
4) Leisurely eat breakfast while chatting with other BW colleagues
5) Call mother, sisters, boyfriend, best friends, etc.
6) Do about 30 minutes of work
7) Go to lunch
8) Call mother, sisters, boyfriend, best friends, etc.
9) Do a maybe an hour of work
10) Chat with BW colleagues about evening plans
11) Leave on time

I once asked a co-worker why she did so little and goofed-off so much. Her answer: "Why should I work hard if I'll never be promoted." My response: "Maybe you'd get promoted if you worked harder."

It's worth noting that these women show up on time, don't take long lunch breaks, and never leave before the end of the day. Such violations would be too easy to document and, thus, would be reasonable grounds for disciplinary actions or termination. "

Counter Argument:

"It's funny how white people can be when it comes to talking about black people in the workplace as if all of them really work hard.

I was a recruiter when my manager, a good 'ol boy from Texas would stroll into the office at 10 AM (two hours before the rest of us) usually hung over. He later got into the cocaine thing and it really was starting to show. It was just obvious. As much money as he made from placement fees, he always complained about being broke. He was single and lived with a girlfriend. It's not like he had any kids to take care of. In the office he helped close some deals, but thought of himself as too good to do the grunt work of finding candidates. Sometimes certain white people like to see themselves as more experienced and superior to everyone else. This guy took it too a whole new level.

One weekend evening he had the audacity to bring a hooker into the office where we all worked. They were doing cocaine and she ended up falling asleep on the steps to the garage door. Their activity was recorded by building security. Man! After that my manager spared no effort to genuinely HATE the building security officer. He was SO embarrassed for being caught like that. This guy was such a loser. He went into the men's bathroom and would scribble derogatory remarks on the walls about our company CEO. This idiot was in his FORTIES, but still vandalizing property like a teenager. We knew who was doing this all along. It was just a matter of time before he got fired. That time happened during a company holiday xmas celebration in front of other executives whose accounts we were handling. Boy was my manager drunk that night, but this too is another story."

[This can be said the same where my mom works every time she comes homes to tell me whats happening her predominately white office. My mom gets up at 6:30 am gets to work by 7:30 am everyone else gets there around 10 or 11 and some take off hours for lunch of course their in higher position than my mom. She works hard to get her Business degree so she can become a secretary and is a fast typist so she can finish work in couple of hours but her boss always gives the secretary work to other employees to do it and is told "not worry about it" and the employee don't know how to do it so they go ask my mom. Her boss even told her he "didn't need a secretary." One lady she makes 80K a year she brings in her sickly dog in all the time and she one of those who that take those long lunches and comes in late, she is suppose to be the PR lady but she tells me when I had a conversation with her about public speaking when I started working there in another department  she said, "I'm to scared to talk publicly, your so brave speaking in front of people." When my mom first transferred  there they use take off for days and they didn't even have sick time or vacation time left. My mom even caught them throwing away her yearly evaluation, the higher ups would send to the office. The person before my mom stole thousands of dollar they didn't even fire her they just let her go. My mom call it "unconscious racism."

So that means everyone lazy not just black people but I think people should be mandatory trained in any field unless they have a degree already for that field of work but they also have should be training in leadership. I think that's the only way your gain people's loyalty to the job.The managers at my job are willing to listen but not take action from what their employees suggest.

"A surface look at the welfare system, and the proportion of blacks vs. white who benefit from it... So are Blacks all "lazy," "Ballers," "Sleep around,"" have kid after kid?"

N/A - Not Applicable because it can't be measured and that should be simple enough because you see it in every culture. While there are some black people that actually are lazy, they are by no means a majority of black people. It's TRUE that Blacks are more athletic due to the melamine and pigmentation, which scientifically gives black people more strength and duration, as well as gives an edge in mental strength. It's basically in their genes. You can look up the effects of melamine in the human body as opposed to those that have no melamine or pigmentation. One other factor is body structure, and will power. This is the possible cause for are life expectancy being six years less than other races. Women and men in general who do sleep around usual want to gain something from it maybe to finally reaching organism which 70-80% women can't attain it according statistics, or are doing it for personal reasons, or the wrong ones, which all leads back to women's and men's state of mind because of simple lack honest communication.

These stereotypes have longevity. Studies show that the "welfare queen" idea has roots in both race and gender. Franklin Gilliam, the author of a public perception experiment on welfare, concludes that:
"While poor women of all races get blamed for their impoverished condition, African-American women are seen to commit the most egregious violations of American values. This story line taps into stereotypes about both women (uncontrolled sexuality) and African-Americans (laziness)."
Studies show that the public dramatically overestimates the number of African Americans in poverty, with the cause attributed to media trends and its portrayal of poverty.

Also there is movie coming out called Dear White People that is sarcastically and intelligently well done. I'm really hoping to see come out in October it really gets to the point of how African American are portrayed in the Media from the eyes Black University students. .

Birthday Haul Weekend [Pic heavy]

Hey Guys,

I hope you guys had an awesome weekend and Happy Chinese New Year. Apparently it my year my birthday falls in the middle of chinese new years so, some say I'm goat/ram and others say I'm a horse lol. I got my RAM and I had to tweak my desktop and it seems to be helping =).  I went on a shopping spree and I got hooked on the Maybeline lipsticks so I bought three more and the colors that I got are going to be very popular this spring because I was looking through the J-magazines and almost everyone was wearing these colors.

The Scawaii has some new faces but I'm wish Mitsuwa had Blenda issue so I could see Nana for this month but I'm really liking  Happie Nuts issue.

CK mascara was another birthday free gift from ULTA and seems to be very popular.
Neon Red is my favorite color right now!

My Cosplay Group Manager stop by while I was over my boyfriend place to drop off some Valentine sweets, he loves to make deserts and dishes in his spare time :D
My mom got me this set and the wedges

I ate pretty Vegan this weekend my mom took me to the Veggie grill and their quoin and kale salad is so Yummy!!! and the food is really filling. My boyfriend's brother finally started his internship and told him about this underground market  for new up and coming restaurant which I hope to see more of and the food was really delicious. I was thinking we just eat some famous/popular ramen in Lil Tokyo  and go watch a movie  but we ended up walking around and finding out that they close down the arcade in the mall:( before the event.

Yummy!!!

Afterward we head a block over to Urth Cafe to get something cold to drink since food we ate was super spicy which I love. I'm going to two concerts this month as well, Kyary and Tony Braxton that my mom won, she should be the radio tickets winning queen lol plus her birthday is coming up .
